With his slick, hyper-glammed visuals and unique synth rock sound, Numan was a true innovator. In fact, he's credited with being an early pioneer of the electronica movement.

Ultimate pop princess Tiffany has re-emerged to help bring the 80s back with a vengeance. This fan-made video, recorded at the 2010 drag queen Entertainer of the Year Awards in California, captures the former teen goddess performing her #1 hit "I Think We're Alone Now." The acid wash jeans and mall bangs are long gone, but the voice remains.

As another week fades into history, let's travel back to 1982 and a re-experience a song that was a part of my Grade 6 soundtrack. Duran Duran, fronted by the beautiful and charismatic Simon Le Bon, perform the 80s anthem "Hungry Like the Wolf" on Top Of The Pops.
Defying any category they were put into, Duran Duran was a perfect fusion of music, fashion and visuals.

Olivia Newton-John performs her signature 1981 hit "Physical" backed up by the iconic Solid Gold dancers. The song became an anthem for a newly fitness obsessed pop audience, although its lyrics had more to do with getting a good work out in the bedroom.

Tonight, a rare 80s gem from choreographer turned new wave diva Toni Basil. Known mostly for her signature single "Hey Mickey," Ms. Basil proved she was anything but a one-hit-wonder in this live performance of her 1983 creation "Street Beat." What makes this superbly danced, yet non-lip synched, spectacle even more amazing is the fact that she was 40-years-old at the time.
Somewhere, Britney is bowing down in complete awe.
